A wonderfully original, RHD matching numbers Lamborghini 400 GT with less than 250 leaving the factory.

UK Lamborghini concessionaires in the 60's, Mitchell & Britten, sold as an optional extra at a cost of £800 to have the 400GT converted to RHD. They contracted Hoopers & Co. who were the Rolls Royce coachbuilders in London to carry out the work until the Lamborghini factory started producing RHD drive cars until the middle of 1968 and then they only made 4! There were also a few examples converted by the famed engineer Ivor Halbert.....

Today as little as 14 RHD drive examples are know to exist!

The originality of our example is to behold. Too many of these beauties have been restored to concours with no patina or hint of the cars's history.  Here we have a 400GT with no new panels, no welding, original interior and cherished to a level that is rarely seen.

Additionally, there have been only 2 owners from new and has travelled only 25.000 miles in its 53 yrs!

This outstanding car features an extensive history folder which includes invoices, photographs, MOTs and much more.

Aside from the above, this is a 1960's GT tour de force which out performed all the Ferrari And Maserati contemporaries of the time. Breathing through six Weber twin-choke carburettors, the all alloy Lamborghni V12 sings to over 7000rpm at which point she is making in excess of 320HP. All this power is fed through a 5-Speed gearbox to the rear wheels with all corners sporting independent suspension, coil springs and shocks. To haul it all down 4 wheel hydraulic disk brakes ensure all is contained!

Be in no doubt this is a very rare opportunity and given where Sterling is trading today against the HKD represents one of those moments!
